Reach out and let us know your child's age and a bit about them. We're flexible for kids close to the edges of the range, as long as they're comfortable in a group setting without a parent doing the painting for them.

Either is fine. You're welcome to stay and watch, or drop off and return at pickup time.

Anything. We provide a smock and crocs, so their own clothes and shoes stay clean. Remember, it is a painting class, so try to keep their best duds at home. Parents like to keep a specific ‘studio outfit’ aside for these classes.

Yes. This isn't a structured class in the traditional sense. There's a short opening ritual and a tiny lesson, but most of class is unstructured free painting. It's a gentle first "class" experience for kids who've never been in one before. You’re also welcome to stay and supervise!

Kids arrive, take off their shoes, and put on crocs and a smock. We open with a circle and a few mantras, then a short lesson — today's color, tool, or texture. After that, music goes on and kids paint freely on a large shared canvas for most of the class. We close with a structured cleanup and a goodbye circle. The whole thing runs 45 minutes.

A short, simple lesson — a color, a brush technique, a texture — that Pascal demonstrates and narrates out loud. It sets a small starting point for the day, but it's brief. Once it's done, kids are free to paint however they want.

Pascal is French, and it comes through naturally in how he teaches: a color or word introduced and repeated during the lesson. It's not a language lesson, just part of how class is taught.

No. No prior experience with French or art is expected or needed.

We use non-toxic, washable paint appropriate for young children. As with any paint, we discourage eating it, but the materials are chosen with this age group specifically in mind.

The focus of this class is the experience of painting, not the finished piece. Nothing is kept, photographed as a "keepsake," or held up as something to be proud of in a particular way. The point is the making itself. If you'd like to see your child's work, you're welcome to stay and watch class.

That's completely fine. The lesson is an invitation, not a requirement. Kids are never made to follow it a particular way.

We teach shared-space etiquette from the very first class, including a mantra about respecting each other's space on the canvas. Instructors also gently redirect in the moment if needed.

No. Instructors demonstrate technique during the lesson, but never correct or direct a child's actual painting. There's no "right" way to do it.

We provide the smock, crocs, and all painting materials. You just need to bring your child.

This class is limited to enrolled children only, to keep things rolling smoothly.

Since our classes are held outdoors under shade sails and the California sun, classes will be cancelled if it rains.

Two adults are present at every class, including Pascal.
